The blog/webpage for the University of Illinois at Chicago's Film Club

permalink Lots of film events coming up!
Tonight and tomorrow is a retrospective of experimental video work by Joyce Wieland at University of Chicago.
There are a few more real cool lectures/ screenings at the University of Chicago’s Film Studies Center this semester. I would recommend going to see Jour de fête. (it’s great)
Don’t forget to check out their Doc films film series. Lots of great new and old films!
Northwestern’s Block Cinema is also showing some great films this weekend.
(Doc films and Block both have discounted prices for films when you show them your student I.D.)
This week is also the last week of the Chicago International Film Festival! Go check it out!

Last but not least- Akira Kurosawa’s Samurai masterpiece- Rashomon (above is a still from it) is opening this weekend at the Music Box Theatre.

Have a great weekend!
